ABOUT US

The name ‘King’s Tailors’ evokes a feeling of nostalgia. It brings back memories of an era long gone when Pattaya was in its fledgling days trying to shake off its sleepy fishing village image. King’s Tailors opened its doors to the then frequenting American GI’s and is locally known as the pioneer of the tailoring trade.

Established in 1975 by the visionary entrepreneur, Khun Narin Detkunakorn and ably assisted by his wife, Khun Jaspal, King’s tailors reigned supreme over the clothing market providing customer satisfaction with top of-the-range selections and quality service.

At its peak, King’s Tailors had nine branches spread all over the city of Pattaya. When other tailoring businesses mushroomed everywhere, Khun Narin consolidated his business and downsized to two establishments, the original King’s Tailors on 2nd Road, opposite Caesar Palace Hotel, between Soi 9 & 8 and the second on Khao Phratamnak opposite Cosy Beach Hotel, preferring selectivity over quantity.

Flash forward to the new millennium and it’s time for generation next. Khun Narin has passed over the day-to-day functioning of his tailoring business to his son Anant Detkunakorn a.k.a Mike and his wife Nid. With his dynamism and foresight, Anant has moved the business across international waters.

Over the years, Anant has worked hard and now has over 20,000 clients to his credit. He makes mandatory bi-annual trips to Europe to ensure customer satisfaction.
